Bill Jones Jr., of the Charlotte Enterprise Developers Guild fame will give a presentation on
"Gang of Four" Patterns 101.
Bill

Microsoft Patterns & Practices). Based on the book "Design
Patterns - Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software" by Erich
Gamma, Richard Helm, Ralph Johnson, and John Vlissides (also known as
"the Gang of Four"), he provides some very useful hints as to how to
get started - and introduces the 23 original patterns.
Pre-register by sending an email to Tore
Bostrup stating that you are pre-registering for the event.

This is the first installment in a new series
that will present - or rather explore - a project from start to finish.
Each month, another part of the project will be highlighted, usually

"Gang of Four" Patterns 101
"Design Patterns: Elements of Reusable Object-Oriented Software"
by Gamma, Helm, Johnson and Vlissides is the seminal text on patterns first
published in 1994. To really communicate with serious software designers, we
must have a working understanding of the 23 basic patterns presented in this
book. This session provides a 50,000 foot view of patterns and should convince
you to dig a little deeper if this is a new topic for you.
