Defensive ASP.NET Security Without a doubt,
ASP.NET represents a quantum leap as an application
platform. Visual Studio.NET and the CLR automate a host of
gory details related to application development, debugging, execution,
and application security. If experience is a guide, we know that
hackers and ne'er-do-wells are always on the lookout for
vulnerabilities in our applications. This presentation explains
the attacks our applications are likely to face and what mechanisms
(gory details) we can use as a defense. Justin Smith
is a veteran application developer with an extensive background in
Windows and UNIX development. He has focused for the last four
years on .NET, XML, Web Services, and Data Warehousing. Justin
currently teaches and consults for mTrain.net
in Atlanta, GA. Before joining the mTrain.net team Justin
was a senior partner at Lighthouse Business Solutions. During his
tenure at Lighthouse he architected the PaperTrail and DocView document
management toolset. He has also previously worked at both
Parametric Technology and Engineering Animation Incorporated in the
systems integration and development teams. Justin holds a
bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and
several Microsoft certifications. |
